SEOUL, Aug. 22 (Yonhap) -- "Even if he wasn't a third-generation chaebol, don't you think you should definitely hold on to a boyfriend like Seo Ju-won? I mean, how could you not fall for a man so devoted to just one woman? (laughs)"

Shin Hyun-bin (38), who stars in the new Coupang Play series "Cinderella at 2 AM," made this statement during the production press conference held on the 22nd at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul.

The show, set to premiere on the 24th, is a romantic comedy that revolves around a realist who doesn't believe in the fairy tale of Cinderella and a romantic who believes love transcends all conditions.

Shin Hyun-bin plays Ha Yun-seo, a character grounded in reality. Upon discovering that her younger boyfriend is a third-generation chaebol, she decides to break up with him after receiving a bribe from his mother.

"Cinderella at 2 AM seems like a time when Cinderella would feel most insignificant, even more so than before she attended the ball," said Shin. "Yun-seo is someone who sees her situation clearly and is the type to reject anything that feels too much for her," she elaborated.

"Yun-seo values what she has built on her own. She feels afraid and insecure about her boyfriend being a prince. The audience will see how the realistic Yun-seo changes as she experiences Ju-won's devoted love."

Playing the role of the devoted younger boyfriend, Seo Ju-won, is Moon Sang-min (24). Ju-won believes that love overcomes all differences and continues to pursue Yun-seo even after she breaks up with him.

"Ju-won is the perfect prince charming—whether it's his looks, wealth, or personality," joked Moon Sang-min. "Ju-won can't live without Yun-seo, so he uses various methods to win her back. He's a younger boyfriend character who boldly and straightforwardly pursues the woman he loves," he explained.

Director Seo Min-jung, who helms the show, described it as "a work that breaks clichés, as seen from the fact that the main characters start off separated in the very first episode."

"Not only are there no weak links in the cast, but the story also includes both sweet, heart-fluttering moments and realistic content that viewers can easily relate to. We hope for your keen interest in the show."
