SEOUL, June 12 (Yonhap) -- Twitter announced on the 12th that the group BTS’s new album “Proof” got over 3 million tweets in an hour after its release.

According to Twitter, the number of tweets related to “Proof” on the 10th, the date of release of the album, recorded 22 million.

By country, the number of tweets were high in order of Korea, the United States, Indonesia, and BTS was also popular in the Philippines, India, Japan, Brazil, Thailand, and Peru.

Hashtags including ‘#BTS_Proof,’ ‘#BTS,’ ‘#방탄소년단,’ ‘#BTSBackWithProof,’ ‘#BTSArmy’ have also been on the global trend.

Also, Twitter explained that they are actively working in cooperation with BTS, such as providing special custom emojis on which the new album concept was applied.

If users write the hashtag ‘#BTS’ and ‘#방탄소년단,’ the BTS logo is automatically applied. The gray logo which symbolizes the new album also appears when users type ‘#BTS_Proof.’

In addition, “Twitter Music,” the official music account of Twitter, changed its head image to BTS and renamed its account as 'Twitter Music is listening to BTS "Proof".'
