SEOUL, August 31 (Yonhap) -- KBS 2TV announced on Wednesday that actors Jang Dong-yoon, Seol In-ah, and Choo Young Woo were cast for drama “Oasis,” which will be aired next year.

“Oasis,” set in turbulent times in Korea, 1980 to 1990, is a melodrama that depicts the stories of three people, who put themselves out there to fight for their dreams, friendship, and one-and-only first love.

Jang Dong-yoon plays Lee Doo-ha who is poor but has smart brain and pure soul. Lee Doo-hak falls in love with Oh Jung-shin, who transferred school from Seoul, at first sight.

Seol In-ah plays Oh Jeong-shin, who is always honest and confident, fighting for injustice and working hard to achieve her dream.

Rookie Choo Young woo plays Choi Cheol-woong, an old friend of Lee Doo-hak and also a rival. Choi Cheol-woong is an elite who never misses to be No.1 in school and can’t not bear to loose.

“Oasis” will begin shooting next month.
