SEOUL, March 17 (Yonhap) -- (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi is set to release her digital single Radio (Dum-Dum) on various music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on Monday.

 

Radio (Dum-Dum) is a self-composed track by Yuqi that metaphorically expresses feelings toward a past lover through the imagery of a radio, according to Cute Entertainment. The song features a medium-tempo boom-bap style, with a rhythmic acoustic guitar and bassline that stand out.

 

Yuqi’s signature deep, husky voice blends with a trendy melody, creating a unique hip-hop R&B track that showcases her distinct style.

 

The song was first introduced during (G)I-DLE’s third world tour last year and later gained attention through a special clip. Despite not being officially released at the time, it was even featured in advertisements, fueling anticipation for its digital release.

 

 

Expressing her thoughts on the release, Yuqi shared, “I was truly grateful for all the love Radio (Dum-Dum) received even without an official version. Though it’s been six months since the special clip was released, my team and I worked hard to bring it to life as a digital single.”
