SEOUL, May 27 (Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS’ “FAKE LOVE,” which was released in May, 2018, has been certified as platinum in the streaming sector by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, according to the agency Big Hit Music on Friday.

“FAKE LOVE,” which is the title song of the album “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear,” has exceeded 100 million cumulative streams.

Earlier, the group received a gold certification for “Answer,” “Mikrokosmos,” and “I NEED YOU” by surpassing 50 million streams.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan certifies songs with over 30 million streams as silver, 50 million as gold, 100 million as platinum, and 500 million as diamond.
