SEOUL, Feb. 22 (Yonhap) -- K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK will hold an encore concert in member Lisa’s hometown of Thailand, the group’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed Wednesday.

The mega-hit girl group, which has embarked on a world tour spanning Asia, will hold two encore gigs in the city of Bangkok, Thailand, for two days from May 27 to 28.

In January 2023, the quartet kicked off its live tour in Asia, titled “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK],” in Bangkok. During their concert, Lisa said, “I really missed you guys. I hope to see you here again,” making a promise to come back to meet her hometown fans.

The encore concerts will be held at the Rajamangala National Stadium, which stands as one of Thailand’s largest concert halls where a slew of global stars such as Lady Gaga, One Direction, and Coldplay held their gigs. The Korean act will be holding its very first concert at this enormous stadium.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is also scheduled to stage as a headliner at the upcoming Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. in April, followed by the British Summer Time Hyde Park (BST Hyde Park) 2023 in July.
