SEOUL, March 7 (Yonhap) -- Animation film “Daisy Quokka: World’s Scariest Animal (Sanctuary 2),” which combines both fun and lessons, is released in theaters on Thursday.

“Sanctuary2” is a sequel to last year's highly acclaimed animation film “The Wishmas Tree,” which depicted the wild adventures of mischievous little pocket mice. This time, set in the same Sanctuary City, the film focuses on the globally beloved Australian representative animal, quokka.

The small and adorable quokka -- always sporting a smiling face and known as the “happiest animal in the world” -- leaves Quokka Island, a paradise on earth, to pursue its dreams. It challenges the prejudices of the world by competing with larger animals, portraying a dreamy adventure full of the unexpected charm of the “laughing quokka.”

TV persona Sam Hemington, the ambassador for the Sanctuary franchise, stated, "The sight of the small quokka not stopping its challenges to achieve its dreams will inspire courage in all children starting a new semester."
