SEOUL March 11 (Yonhap) - The energetic vibes of TEMPEST have momentarily subsided as the group embraces a more mature image. On March 11, at a showcase in Seoul's Gwangjin District to celebrate the release of their 5th mini album, members introduced their latest work as the "most cherished album.“

Leader Lew reflected on the preparation for this album, expressing the growth and challenges they faced. He noted the significant time spent in discussions among the members, fostering unity.

TEMPEST, a 7-member boy group that debuted in 2022, gained attention in September last year with the title track "Vroom Vroom" from their single "Into the Storm," securing the top spot on music broadcasts.

Their fifth mini album, "TEMPEST Voyage," released after a six-month hiatus, serves as the conclusion to the "Storm" series that TEMPEST has pursued over the past year.

Hyeongseop addressed “The latest release encapsulates TEMPEST's today." He emphasized the portrayal of TEMPEST progress through the storms, overcoming challenges, and actively moving forward.

The lead track, "LIGHTHOUSE," showcases TEMPEST's story of becoming stronger through the experience of growth. The choreography is notable for its visualization of a lighthouse.

Lew, who participated in writing the lyrics for the track, explained “upon hearing the demo, I felt a comforting sensation.”adding“The desire to reciprocate the support I have received through the lyrics.”

The album includes four tracks, starting with the lead track “Light House” followed by "There," "B.O.K," and "Slow Motion.“ Hyuk and TaeRae also participated in the songwriting.

EunChan selected "Slow Motion" as his favorite, describing it as “a song that captures the desire to love slowly, much like in a movie.”

Throughout the showcase, TEMPEST performed with six members, excluding Hwarang, who has recently paused activities due to privacy involde issues.

Lew acknowledged the absence of Hwarang, stating “It would be a lie to say that everything is ok, because we do feel the pressure to a certain extent,”adding “We will do our best to show our love and gratitude towards our fans through our stages and performances.”

Celebrating their 2nd anniversary since debut, TEMPEST expressed gratitude and their joys.

Lew addressed “After getting the reward from music programs, we started to feel various pressures”adding we are doing our best to keep ourself alined with success.“

Moreover Lew stated “Members of Tempest host weekly meetings, "Monday Meetings," which serves as a platform for discussions and overcoming challenges,” emphasizing the passion of the members.

TaeRae, reflecting on the past year, expressed satisfaction with spreading their music widely. He stressed the belief that growth pains are essential for TEMPEST to evolve successfully.

In addition to their album activities, TEMPEST plans to hold a fan concert in April.
