SEOUL, Nov. 11 (Yonhap) --

The Mnet MAMA Awards will take place in Hong Kong at the end of this month.

CJ ENM announced at a press event in Seoul on Tuesday that the 2025 MAMA Awards will be held October 28–29 at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.

It marks the first MAMA in Hong Kong in seven years, since the event was jointly held in Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong in 2018. Hong Kong has hosted MAMA multiple times since 2012, making it one of the award’s symbolic venues.

Park Chan-wook, head of CJ ENM’s convention business, said, “Hong Kong is the city where MAMA has been held the most and is easily accessible for global K-pop fandoms,” adding that the newly built Kai Tak Stadium would be the perfect site for a landmark K-pop stage.

This year’s concept is “Hear My Loar, Uh-Heung”, themed around the uniquely Korean energy of joy, heung .

One of the highlights will be a live stage inspired by the Netflix animation *K-pop Demon Hunters.

K-pop artists will transform into the film’s fictional groups — boy band Lion Boyz and girl group Huntrix — to reenact their “battle of destiny.”

Other performances include a joint stage by members of BOYNEXTDOOR, TREASURE, and Cortiz; ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Han-bin with Japanese dancer Kyoka from World of Street Woman Fighter; and Stray Kids premiering their new track Shinseon Noleum.

Super Junior will celebrate their 20th debut anniversary with a special performance, while new group Alpha Drive One, formed through Boys 2 Planet, will make their stage debut.

Over 20 artists — including G-Dragon, aespa, IVE, Stray Kids, NCT WISH, and TXT — will perform for local fans.
