SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- Byeon Woo-seok's agency, Varo Entertainment, has issued an apology regarding the controversy over excessive security measures.

In an official statement released on the 15th, Varo Entertainment expressed, "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to the passengers at Incheon Airport on the 12th due to the security measures taken during Byeon Woo-seok's departure."

The agency acknowledged the incident where a security guard used a flashlight towards airport passengers and stated, "Upon recognizing the inappropriate behavior of the security guard, we requested an immediate cessation of such actions. We deeply feel a moral responsibility for any unpleasant incidents that occurred during the security operation."

Byeon Woo-seok, who has gained popularity as a 'rising star' following the conclusion of the tvN drama "Lovely Runner" in May, was en route to an Asian fan meeting tour on the 12th when the controversy erupted. Fans gathered at the airport to see him off, but the security team's actions, including gate control and shining flashlights at lounge passengers while checking tickets, led to the controversy after related posts and videos spread online.
