SEOUL, May 22 (Yonhap) -- Amorepacific said Friday it successfully showcased its AI-powered integrated beauty service platform "Beauty Concierge" at AWS Summit Seoul 2026 hosted by Amazon Web Services.
AWS Summit Seoul 2026, one of South Korea's largest cloud and artificial intelligence conferences, was held Wednesday and Thursday at COEX in Seoul's Samseong-dong, bringing together the latest cloud technology trends and industry innovation cases.
At the event, Amorepacific introduced an integrated beauty experience combining its longstanding beauty research capabilities with AI-based diagnostic services into a seamless user journey.
The company's "Beauty Concierge" booth adopted a "Beauty Tech LAB" concept, designed to resemble a research laboratory while incorporating Amorepacific's brand identity to emphasize a technology-driven and premium customer experience.
Amorepacific secured its participation in this year's booth exhibition after winning first place at the "AWS Summit Seoul Battle of Best" competition held in November last year. The contest evaluated industry demo concepts utilizing AWS services through three days of demonstrations and voting, with Amorepacific participating under the theme "Designing K-beauty with AI."
At the site, the company offered services incorporating AWS' generative and agentic AI platform Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, including AI skin diagnosis, skin tone analysis, scalp and hair diagnosis and personal color analysis.
The company also showcased customized makeup technology based on skin tone and personal color analysis.
Each diagnostic result was provided as personalized insight, accompanied by one-on-one consultations with researchers from Amorepacific's R&I Center, creating what the company described as an integrated beauty experience combining technology and expert counseling.
The exhibition also drew attention for technological features developed in collaboration with AWS.
Using a QR-based user identification system, the platform continuously provided multiple diagnostic services and integrated individual analysis results into AI-powered counseling, enabling a more sophisticated personalized experience.
The company said the technology demonstrated the scalability of the platform beyond a single-service format into a broader integrated beauty service ecosystem.
Kim Seung-hwan, chief executive officer of Amorepacific, visited the expo booth tour and AWS Leaders Forum on the opening day of the event.
Kim said the exhibition served as an opportunity to verify the potential of solutions capable of integrating various diagnostic data and connecting them to personalized customer experiences.
He added that the Beauty Concierge booth reflects Amorepacific's direction in responding to growing demand for hyper-personalization among modern consumers.
Separately, Amorepacific Group has announced an "AI First" strategy as part of its mid- to long-term vision to become a global leader in the beauty and wellness industry.
At CES 2025, the company won an innovation award for "Wanna-Beauty AI," a personalized virtual makeup experience solution, and introduced its "AI Skin Analysis and Care Solution," developed through deep learning based on evaluations by skin clinical experts using skin imaging data.
Following the launch of its AI beauty counselor service "Amore Chat" on its online shopping platform last year, the company this year expanded its AI strategy further by launching the "Amore Mall" app within ChatGPT as part of its global AI platform expansion.
