SEOUL, July 19 (Yonhap) -- Universal Music announced on Tuesday that the legendary singer, Cho Yong-pil will be releasing four of his albums as a limited-edition vinyl LP.
The albums produced with this limited-edition vinyl LP include the 16th album "ETERNALLY," the 17th album "AMBITION," the 18th album "OVER THE RAINBOW," and the 19th album "Hello."
Except for the 19th album, which was produced as a limited-edition LP in 2013, it is the first time for the remaining three albums to be produced as a vinyl LP album.
The production of this limited-edition vinyl LP album was jointly planned by YPC Production, Cho Yong-pil's agency, Universal Music for release and distribution, and Music Bus, a record production company.
"Eternally," released in 1997, is an album that symbolizes Cho Yong-pil's music in the 90s, includes his representative songs like "Song Of The Wind," "Flame of longing," and "To Be the Last."
Released in 1998 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his debut, "Ambition" contains lyrical songs like "Sorrow of waiting" along with ballad songs like "Friends of the Morning."
Their 18th album "Over the Rainbow" was released in 2003 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of their debut. It contains rock sounds like "Eyes of the Sun" and "Today Again" of the rock opera genre.
Cho Yong-pil tried to include the modern sound in the 19th album "Hello," which was released in 2013. The title song of the same name was featured by rapper Verbal Jint.
The song "Bounce" from the album "Hello" won the "Song of the Year" and the "Best Pop Song" categories at the 11th Korean Music Awards in 2014.
This limited-edition vinyl LP can be pre-ordered through various online music sites and can also be bought through offline reservations from 2 p.m on July 19 till August 2.
If one purchases 4 vinyl LPs as a set, one will receive a separate box to store the records.
