SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- LG Household & Health Care said Wednesday its luxury cosmetics brand The Whoo participated as a sponsor in the Financial Times Luxury Summit-Asia Edition 2026 held in Bangkok on Tuesday, showcasing the brand's competitiveness.
The FT Luxury Summit is an international event jointly organized by Britain's Financial Times and Japan's Nikkei, bringing together executives, designers and other key figures from the global luxury industry to discuss industry trends and future directions.
As the importance of the Asian market has grown in recent years, a separate Asia edition of the event was first held in Hong Kong last year. The Whoo was the only Korean and beauty brand to participate in this year's Asia edition.
At the event, The Whoo showcased its flagship Bichup product line, as well as its Hwanyu line, which was selected last year as an official gift for key figures attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Gyeongju.
The brand also provided attendees with special gifts that offered them an opportunity to experience The Whoo's luxury brand values firsthand.
"It was particularly meaningful to showcase The Whoo's unique brand heritage, which embodies Korea's traditional royal culture, and its skin science technology on a global luxury stage," an LG Household & Health Care official said. "We will continue research into fundamental skin concerns and meaningful technological innovation to create products that customers can understand and trust for a long time."
