SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) -- Kim Chaewon of K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM will miss some scheduled comeback activities due to neck pain, her agency said Tuesday.

 

Source Music said on the fan platform Weverse that Kim recently received hospital treatment for pain in her neck area.

 

"Medical staff advised that she needs to rest for a certain period and monitor her recovery," the agency said, adding that she will inevitably be unable to participate in previously announced schedules, including university festivals and music shows.

 

The agency added that it will prioritize the artist's health and safety while considering medical advice and her condition comprehensively.

 

"We will fully support the artist so she can focus on recovery, and future schedules will be operated flexibly depending on her condition," it said.

 

LE SSERAFIM is set to release its second studio album, "PUREFLOW pt.1," at 1 p.m. on Friday.
