SEOUL, Feb. 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korean nationwide cable TV network Channel A will air the brand-new reality show, titled “Living Together, Not Marriage (translated),” which observes the daily lives of couples with different stories who choose to live together instead of getting married every Monday at 9:10 p.m.

The show will dig into the culture of cohabitation that has been on-trend among the younger generations, which has been one of the topics that have never been publicly discussed.

Comedian Lee Yong-jin and model Han Hye-jin will be hosting the show, along with choreographer Aiki and actor Lee Soo-hyuk; while introducing their show during the online press conference that was held on Monday, they emphasized how their show is “not a program that recommends couples to live together but to reveal all the pros and cons of cohabitation.”

The program will show every side of cohabitation, from how the couple continues to show affection for each other despite living face-to-face all day in the same space to how they are in conflict due to financial problems.

Aiki, who chose to get married at a relatively young age of 24, said, “I think living together is a fearless love,” adding, “I was attracted to these love stories of such fearless couples.”

“As I am already married, I am getting vicarious satisfaction by watching such a realistic cohabitation of the MZ generation,” she said.

“Living Together, Not Marriage,” which aired its first two episodes before the press conference, has been gathering attention among viewers with its unprecedented concept of delving into the daily lives of couples who live together without adding or omitting anything.

An actual viewer left one’s comment saying, “There are many couples who live together around me, which made this program naturally interesting”; meanwhile, some said, “There are so many love reality programs on screen these days.”

Producer So Soo-jung, who is in charge of delivering the show, said, “Cohabitation is no longer an unusual or unfamiliar type of housing, and it is one of the ways by which couples choose to live in. I thought there must be a reason why more are choosing to live together these days, which was the reason why I produced this program to talk openly about it.”

Chief Producer Kim Jin added, “It is the story of couples who choose to live together to keep their love apart from all the burdens and disadvantages of marriage,” explaining, “The fearless love story of people these days will be a point to watch.”
