BUSAN, June 24 (Yonhap) -- The Busan Tourism Organization said Wednesday it will host Busan Hair Salon Trend 2026 from June 29-30 at Signiel Busan and Nurimaru APEC House in the southeastern port city.
The event, which is expected to draw about 700 beauty industry professionals and hairstylists from South Korea and abroad, will combine K-beauty, tourism and the MICE industry, which encompasses meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.
On the opening day, a trend seminar and hair show will be held at the grand ballroom of Signiel Busan, featuring leading hair and beauty experts from South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
Speakers include Cha Hong, head of the South Korean salon brand Cha Hong Room, Domekichi, chief executive of Japan's Gold, and Bruce, head of Taiwan's SIG. They will share the latest beauty trends and brand growth strategies from their respective markets.
On the second day, participants will take part in programs highlighting Busan's marine tourism attractions around Dongbaek Island and Gwangalli Beach.
Additional programs aimed at fostering future talent in the beauty industry will be held at Nurimaru APEC House and the Jeonpo-dong area for local youth and beauty majors.
Lee Jeong-sil, president and chief executive officer of the Busan Tourism Organization, said he hopes the event will grow into a new business platform connecting the regional beauty, tourism and MICE industries.
