SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- The 2026 South Jeolla Craft Festa will be held in Naju, South Jeolla Province, from June 19-21, organizers said Thursday.

According to the Naju Natural Dyeing Culture Foundation, the event will take place at the South Jeolla Craft Creation Support Center, also home to the Korea Natural Dyeing Museum.

The festival will bring together craft artists active across the province and feature a variety of exhibitions, hands-on experiences and interactive programs.

On the opening day, June 19, visitors will be able to take part in in-depth craft programs focusing on woodworking and natural dyeing.

Organizers said the immersive sessions are designed to help participants gain a deeper understanding of artists' philosophies and production processes while experiencing them firsthand.

On June 20 and 21, visitors will have opportunities to enjoy craft classes covering indigo dyeing, woodworking, glasswork and leathercraft.

A range of programs for children will also be offered.

Under the "Little Artist" program, children will create their own clay artworks and display them in an exhibition space, allowing them to experience the joy of creativity and a sense of accomplishment.

Other events include a craft-themed treasure hunt, toy-making sessions and magic performances.

"This is a festival where visitors can do more than simply appreciate crafts. They can create and experience them firsthand while sharing their value and meaning," an official from the Naju Natural Dyeing Culture Foundation said. "We hope many citizens and tourists will visit Naju and enjoy the warmth and pleasure that crafts can offer."
