SEOUL October 06 (Yonhap) -- “2022 Singapore Korean Film Festival” will kick off in Singapore.


Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Singapore addressed on Thursday that the 16th of its kind “2022 Singapore Korean Film Festival” under the theme of “Evergreen,” at the Golden Village Suntec and National Gallery Singapore.

“Singapore Korean Film Festival” which has been conducted through offline due to the wide spread of COVID19 for the past three years, will be showcasing “Beauty Inside,” “Broker,” “Granny Poetry Club” and total of 8 different movies.

Director Lee Jang-hoon’s award winning film “Miracle” has been selected as the opening film for the upcoming Korean Film Festival. “Miracle” is based on the true history of Yangwon train station located within North Gyeongsang Province, and the director Lee Jang-hoon will participate in the question and answer session after the screening event.

Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Singapore has been hosting online and offline film festivals since 2005, and the “2022 Korean Film Festival” will be one of the venues featured in one of the embassy’s festival.
