SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group Nmixx will release its first full-length album “Blue Valentine” at 6 p.m. Monday, JYP Entertainment said.

 

The album marks the group’s first comeback in about seven months since the release of its fourth mini album “Fe3O4: Forward” in March.

 

In the new record, the members explore the inevitable conflicts and dual emotions that arise in love. The 12-track album includes the title track “Blue Valentine,” as well as “Spinnin’ On It,” “Phoenix,” “Reality Hurts,” and “Rico.”

 

“Blue Valentine” blends synthesizer sounds and guitar riffs with a boom-bap rhythm, expressing a yearning to rekindle warmth in hearts that have grown cold after emotional clashes.

 

The album also features “O.O Part 1 (Baila)” and “O.O Part 2 (Superhero),” two reinterpretations of the group’s debut song “O.O,” which pioneered Nmixx’s signature “mix pop” style — a fusion of multiple genres within one track.

 

Members Haewon and Lily participated in songwriting for “Podium” and “Reality Hurts,” respectively.

 

Nmixx will also hold its first-ever solo concert on Nov. 29–30, with further details, including the venue, to be announced later.
