SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) -- The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large and Small Business, Rural Affairs and Fisheries will hold "K-Collection with KCON LA 2026" in Los Angeles from Aug. 14-16, the ministry said Tuesday.

K-Collection is an overseas expansion support program that provides South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises with opportunities to promote their products and hold consultations with local buyers in conjunction with CJ ENM's K-festival KCON.

This year's event will feature 40 SMEs in the beauty, food, household goods and fashion sectors, with more than half participating in K-Collection for the first time.

The foundation will hold a promotional event combining product exhibitions and sales with interactive programs at Kentia Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center, while also conducting export consultations with local buyers.

On Aug. 14-15, it will work with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, known as KOTRA, to hold one-on-one export consultations with local buyers and help turn the meetings into new business opportunities and follow-up deals.

During the event, K-pop girl group Rescene, the official artist for K-Collection, will visit the booths to promote products made by participating SMEs.

The foundation will also promote K-Collection online. Through the official K-Collection online shop, which opened Aug. 7, it plans to run monthly promotions, marketing campaigns centered on social media and K-pop communities, and influencer review content.

"K-Collection is a program that turns the global influence of K-culture into opportunities for South Korean SMEs to expand overseas," a foundation official said. "We will continue to identify competitive SMEs and connect them with online and offline sales channels and local buyers to help them expand overseas steadily and strengthen their competitiveness."
