SEOUL, September 6 (Yonhap) -- NAVER announced on Tuesday that they have released the teaser website for NOW.Drops, a fandom-based NFT service made in collaboration with LINE's NFT service platform NEXT, on September 5.
NOW.Drops is a collaborated NFT service presented by LINE NEXT's NFT platform "DOSI."
NOWDROP's NFT is created as the fans watch the streaming service on NOW and they issue their favorite parts of the stream as an NFT.
NAVER explained, when the contents are released, the users buy the "crystal," which is an authority to issue NFT, and they are allowed to make a certain part of the stream as an NFT.
NOW will exclusively post unreleased content such as performance videos for each member and camera, and backstage behind-the-scenes videos in NowDrops.
Gong Jin-hwan , the responsible leader of NAVER NOW, said, "NOW have secured differentiated entertainment intellectual property rights (IP) by producing and providing original content." We plan to continue to discover IP as well," he added, "Based on the know-how, we plan to continuously discover new IPs specialized for NFT so that users can find NFT more easily."
'NOW.Drops' first runner will be JYP Entertainment's rookie girl group NMIXX, coming back in September.
NOW.Drops will be waiting for users' airdrop applications until September 12, and provide 1,000 crystals randomly to the winner. NOW will exclusively stream the first runner of 'NOW.Drops', NMIXX's comeback stage "ENTWURF" on September 19. Afterwards, they will be selling NMIXX's showcase stage, behind the scenes videos, NOW Original show "NEXTREND" and new NMIXX's comeback live videos.
