SEOUL, Oct. 2 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group Monsta X will perform its first concert in the U.S. since the spread of COVID-19.
The six-piece-act will participate in the 2021 year-end iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour in December, according to the K-pop act's agency Starship Entertainment on Saturday.
Starting with Philadelphia on Dec. 13, Monsta X will perform in four other American cities, including Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Miami. Apart from member Shownu, who is currently carrying out their mandatory military service, the boy band will take the stage as a five-member group.
This year's lineup includes famous pop stars such as Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, The Kid LAROI, Doja Cat, and the Jonas Brothers. Monsta X is the only K-pop artists to be listed within the cast.
Monsta X joined the Jingle Ball tour for the first time as a K-pop group in 2018 and performed on stage in six cities. The Korean band received attention again after appearing at the concert the following year.
The K-pop act recently released its English single "One Day" and performed on famous American talk shows on through video, while also announcing plans to tour around the U.S. and Canada between January and February next year.
