SEOUL, Oct. 6 (Yonhap) -- Singer Roy Kim released his new single "Cry Out Loud" on Tuesday, aiming for his third consecutive fall hit, his agency DEUL said.
The song, released at 6 p.m., begins with Roy Kim's signature warm and emotive vocals and features elaborate string sounds that build along with the flow of the lyrics.
"It is easy to think that holding back tears is a mature thing to do, but it also takes courage to acknowledge one's sadness and express it fully," Roy Kim said.
"If you suppress your emotions, the wounds remain in your heart, but after crying enough and letting the sadness flow away, you can gain the strength to move forward again," he said.
"‘Cry Out Loud' is not a song about staying in sadness. It is a song that wishes for you to feel the pain fully and then stand back up stronger," he added.
With the new song, Roy Kim is seeking his third straight fall hit following "If You Ask Me What Love Is" in 2024 and "There Is No Other Way to Express It" last year.
He is also scheduled to hold a solo concert from Nov. 20-22 at KSPO Dome in Seoul's Olympic Park.
