SEOUL, Aug. 25 (Yonhap) -- Jung Eun-ji, a member of K-pop girl group Apink, finally sued a stalker who has tormented the singer for more than a year.

Jung Eun-ji has charged the stalker under the Punishment of Minor Offenses Act and Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, announced the singer's agency PlayM Entertainment on Wednesday.

PlayM Entertainment claimed that the stalker has been stalking Jung continuously and maliciously since last March.

"We have asked the stalker not to approach the singer several times, but the degree of stalking has severely worsen as the stalker recently visited Jung Eun-ji's home," PlayM Entertainment said while explaining the background of taking legal action.

Last month, Jung wrote on her social media, saying, "These days, there are people who come to my house," adding, "I really don't like it, and it also affects people around me as well. I don't think I will be able to respect people who only care about their feelings."
