SEOUL, July 14 (Yonhap) -- “I Love thriller movies, normally police characters in thriller or crime movies are played by the male actors, hence, I think it is first of its kind to have a female oriented crime thriller movie.”

South Korean movie “Limit” which puts female actresses at the forefront is premiering in August. “Housewives will be able to relate to the movie Easily.”, announced actress Lee Jung-hyun during the press conference of the movie “Limit” held at the Lotte cinema in Kunkook University Station on Thursday. Actress Lee Jung-hyun who recently gave birth to her child in April acted out So-eun, a police officer from the Public Safety Department.

“Limit” is a crime, thriller movie about a serial kidnapping. The film revolves around life protagonist So-eun, who as an undercover officer who acts out the mother of a serial kidnapping victim, who receives an un known call which leads her to crisis. Jin Seo-yeon who acted out a drug addict throughout the Korean movie “Believer” will act out the character Yen-joo, a mother of the serial kidnapping victim.

Group of suspects throughout the movie will also be led by female actress, Moon Jeong-hee as Hye-jin who becomes the key figure of the case. Actress Park Kyung-hye who acted out Park Ji-eun, a translator staff of Ambassador Han in S. Korean movie “Escape from Mogadishu”, Park myung hoon who acted out Oh Geun-sae, Moon-gwang’s husband throughout “Parasite” will be part of the suspect group.

“Limit” is based on Japanese fiction written by Nozawa Hisashi. Director Lee Seung-jun who has returned after debuting with his movie “The Spy: Undercover Operation” in 2013. “I took time to arrange the plot because I thought it would be nice to make a movie out of.” adding “If my movie ‘The Spy : Undercover operation’ put an emphasis on the scale of action, ‘Limit’ puts an emphasis on individual characters.” director Lee Seung-jun gave his description to the upcoming movie.

Crew and cast members of the movie highlighted the story directed by female characters, motherhood and quick plot changes.

“The Plot revolves around three of the actresses very powerfully. The interlocking connection characters share because they are family, allows audiences to easily get engaged throughout the movie.” adding “when I first read the script I thought I would be able to truly act out the emotion since I also have a baby.” Announced actress Jin Seo-yeon.

Moreover, Actress Moon Jeong-hee showed her thoughts about the movie, “I do understand both of the sides”, adding “I believe if the audiences understand the perspective of the suspects then I think we have successfully made the film.”
