SEOUL, Oct. 6 (Yonhap) -- Various events will be held across Seoul to celebrate pop star The Weeknd's return to South Korea, Universal Music said Tuesday.

 

The Weeknd will perform at Goyang Stadium on Oct. 7-8, marking his first concerts in South Korea in eight years.

 

On Tuesday, a day before the first concert, a special lighting event will be held at N Seoul Tower, one of Seoul's iconic landmarks. Special lighting commemorating The Weeknd's visit to South Korea will be displayed from sunset until 11 p.m.

 

Videos and advertisements related to the concerts will also be shown at various locations across Seoul, including Itaewon.

 

A pop-up store commemorating his return to South Korea will be open at the Musinsa Standard Hannam store through Oct. 13.
