SEOUL, Jan. 15 (Yonhap) -- Actor Shim Hyung-tak, 47, has become a father to a baby boy.

 

According to his agency, Alomalo Humane, Shim's wife gave birth to their first child on January 14. "Shim Hyung-tak's spouse delivered the baby yesterday," the agency confirmed on January 15.

 

Shim married Hirai Saya, a Japanese non-celebrity 18 years his junior, in July 2023. The couple welcomed their first child a year and a half after their wedding.

 

The actor shared the joyous news on his social media, posting photos of the baby’s hands and feet alongside a heartfelt message: "Hello, Haru. Thank you for coming to mom and dad."

 

Hirai Saya also expressed her overwhelming emotions, revealing the baby’s name as Haru. "I cannot put into words how much love I feel," she said.
