SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) -- Project girl group I.O.I will release its third EP, "I.O.I : LOOP," at 6 p.m. Tuesday to mark the 10th anniversary of its debut, agency Swing Entertainment said.

 

It marks the group’s first new album in nine years. Formed through Mnet’s audition program Produce 101 in 2016, I.O.I wrapped up its activities after an eight-month run the following year.

 

The new album commemorating the group’s 10th anniversary looks back on the members’ journey and sincerely captures their reunion in the present.

 

The lead track, “Suddenly,” is a synth-pop song depicting feelings of longing and lingering memories that arrive unexpectedly. Member Jeon Somi participated in writing the lyrics.
