SEOUL, July 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean singer Lee Hyun will return to the music scene with a new pop genre song "Moon in the Sea (tentative title)" on Saturday, according to Big Hit Music.
"Moon in the Sea" is a sophisticated pop-sound song composed by Danish musicians Max Ulver, Andreas Ringblom, Daniel Schulz and Viktoria Siff Hansen.
"Lee Hyun has increased his sentimental singing skills instead of delivering his trademark sorrowful sounds in order to properly revive the atmosphere of the new song," adding, "We will show a wider music spectrum with Lee's new voice," the agency said.
This will be the first time in a year and five months for Lee to drop a new song after the singer released "Fool Again" as part of vocal group 8Eight last February.
Lee Hyun has been managed by Big Hit Music for 14 years since signing his first exclusive contract as a member of 8Eight in 2007. The singer also renewed his contract in March this year.
8Eight has released hit songs such as "Without a heart," "Covering Those Lips," and "Farewell is Coming," while Lee Hyun formed a male duo called Homme with 2AM member Changmin in 2010 and created the hit "Still Eating Well."
