SEOUL, June 12 (Yonhap) -- SIL, the newly established cosmetics affiliate of Taekwang Group, unveiled its new skincare brand "Safin" at a pop-up store in Seoul's Seongsu district on Friday.
According to the company, the products contain ingredients derived from Korea's seas, including deep ocean water from the East Sea rich in magnesium and calcium, seaweed from the South Sea containing protein and omega-3, and mineral-rich marine mud from the West Sea.
The lineup consists of three Skin Reverse Signature products, three Skin Reverse Ampoule products and three Skin Reverse Aging Zone Care Patch products.
Its flagship "Skin Reverse Ampoule Toner" features a slightly thicker texture and subtle fragrance compared with conventional products and is designed to provide moisture and nourishment to dry skin after cleansing.
The company said its sunscreen product, "Skin Reverse Tone & Glow-Up UV Cream," helps correct skin tone and enhance radiance.
The pop-up store will run through June 20.
Kim Jin-sook, chief executive officer of SIL, said the brand was developed to address skincare concerns among women in their 30s and 40s, with a focus on improving the skin's natural recovery ability.
"We plan to strengthen brand awareness and expand into overseas markets in the second half of the year," she said.
