SEOUL, Feb. 11 (Yonhap) - Suspicions of manipulating scores on KBS music program "Music Bank" have been concluded without charge as a result of a police investigation.
According to KBS on Friday, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul conducted an internal investigation on the production team of KBS 2TV's "Music Bank" but concluded that it was not guilty.
In May last year, the police received a complaint from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission that the production team of "Music Bank" intentionally manipulated singer Lim Young-woong's score in the process of ranking singers and conducted a pre-booking investigation.
Lim Young-woong was nominated for first place along with the girl group LE SSERAFIM on the broadcast on May 13 last year, but he received 0 point in the number of broadcasts and fell to second place in the total score.
At the time, KBS denied allegations of score manipulation and explained, "Lim Young-woong's score was counted as 0 points because Lim Young-woong's If We Ever Meet Again' was not aired on KBS TV, radio, and digital content on the 2nd to 8th, the ranking period."
