SEOUL December 21 (Yonhap) -- K-Pop boy group BTS’ entertainment agency HYBE create a subsidiary of HYBE Japan, NAECO and started working on expanding the label in Japan.
For the first artist of NAECO, HYBE addressed on Tuesday that the company have signed a contract with Japanese actress Yurina Hirate
Yurina Hirate, a former member of Japanese Idol group Keyakizaka46 was a center member of the group. Despite of the continuous switch between center members within big groups based on individual member’s fame, Yurina Hirate managed to keep her position as a center member of the group from her debut to the last single the group released before she got out of the group showcasing her fame.
On top of her musical career Yurina Hirate participated in numbers of movies and dramas throughout her career. In 2019 she participated in the production of the movie “Hibiki” as a lead role, and received best new actress award. Recently she participated the remake version of the “Itaewon Class.”
“I will be working as a member of the subsidiary record label of HYBE Entertainment,” adding “I will continue to strive forward to provide better content and unique collaborative contents with various creators.” addressed actress Yurina Hirate.
Moreover, actress Yrina Hirate will be joining the HYBE’s fan community weverse to communicate with her fans.
Name of the company comes from the word Ocean where they have flipped the spelling backwards to showcase their vision where the artists within the company and the NAECO will continue to challenge themselves to become a globalized company instead of settling down.
Through Naeco, HYBE plans to introduce their artists into global market and support their future activities.
CEO of HYBE Japan Han Hyun-rok addressed “Following the successful debut of Japanese Idol group &TEAM, we have created NAECO to find talented artists within Japan to train them to be successful artists,” adding “Our goal is to solidifying the groundwork of grand expansion of the company surpassing the current boundaries of the entertainment industry.”
