SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group BoyNextDoor will release “Say Cheese!” on Novt. 10 in Japan to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the popular animated series Tom and Jerry, their agency KOZ Entertainment said Tuesday.

 

The upbeat rock ‘n’ roll song expresses the joy and friendship shared between best friends who have fun together. The group likened the playful dynamic of Tom and Jerry, both rivals and inseparable partners, to a lighthearted chase game.

 

BoyNextDoor had earlier hinted at the collaboration when they were invited to the Tom and Jerry 85th anniversary celebration at Warner Bros. Japan headquarters in February. 

 

The group will also perform on the opening day of Japan’s year-end music festival COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26, held Dec. 27–31 at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo.
