The program will invite about 120 foreign content creators based in Korea, who will take part in six rounds of cultural tours and produce social media content to promote Korean culture globally.
Participants will begin their journey in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, on April 17, followed by visits to Pocheon in Gyeonggi Province and Boeun in North Chungcheong Province in May, Andong and Yeongju in North Gyeongsang Province in September, Dangjin and Seosan in South Chungcheong Province in October, and Goseong and Sokcho in Gangwon Province in November.
The ministry said it plans to produce two special entertainment programs based on the tours in collaboration with Arirang TV, which will air in the second half of the year.
A production team from Thailand’s public broadcaster MCOT will also join the project to create and broadcast a program introducing Korean culture to Thai audiences.
