SEOUL, June 17 (Yonhap) -- BTS has added one concert each in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Bulacan in the Philippines to its ongoing world tour "ARIRANG," its agency BigHit Music said Wednesday.

The additions bring the total number of concerts on the tour to 88.

The group will now perform an extra show on Dec. 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, following previously scheduled concerts on Dec. 26 and 27.

In Bulacan, BTS will add a March 16 concert at Philippine Sports Stadium, in addition to performances set for March 13 and 14 next year.

"Amid overwhelming demand, additional dates are being added in multiple cities," BigHit Music said.

The agency noted that extra shows had previously been added in Tampa, Stanford and Las Vegas in the United States, as well as Lima in Peru, Santiago in Chile, Buenos Aires in Argentina and Melbourne in Australia.

BTS will kick off the European leg of the tour in Madrid, Spain, on June 26-27.

The European tour, comprising 10 concerts in Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris, has already sold out.

"ARIRANG" is being staged on the largest scale ever for a K-pop tour. With additional dates in Japan and the Middle East expected to be announced, the tour is likely to grow even further.

At a concert held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 13, the 13th anniversary of the group's debut, BTS told fans, "Let's continue this journey together. We'll repay you with even better performances and music."
