SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Yonhap) -- K-pop singer BIBI’s latest double single, DERRE, will be released alongside its music video at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

 

This single marks the third episode in BIBI’s "ERA of Love" series, following Hongdae R&B and Night Yokan, showcasing her distinctive blend of boldness and emotional depth. As her first new release since the widespread success of Night Yokan earlier this year, fans' anticipation is running high.

 

The single includes two tracks: the title song DERRE and BURN IT. Both songs highlight BIBI’s evolved artistry, with her own involvement in the lyrics and composition.

 

DERRE was co-produced with Frank (FRNK), who worked on several hit songs for NewJeans. It’s an R&B track that combines a danceable beat with BIBI’s captivating voice, capturing the theme of a ‘tsundere’ character—someone who pretends not to care but does so subtly. BURN IT features the distinct vocals of Dean, creating a unique atmosphere in this R&B piece.

 

Ahead of the release, BIBI shared, “I put a lot of thought into the storytelling, lyrics, and especially the sound. I hope many people enjoy it,” adding, “Since there are quite a few English lyrics, I included my own translations—please check them out!”
