SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Yonhap) -- The heist-magic film "Now You See Me 3" is expected to dominate the box office this weekend, after maintaining the No. 1 spot for two consecutive days following its release.

According to the Korean Film Council’s box office data on the 14th, the film recorded over 68,000 admissions the previous day (41.7% revenue share), securing first place on the daily box office chart for the second day in a row since its opening on the 12th.

Now You See Me 3 follows the story of the magician-thieves known as the Horsemen, and arrives nine years after the 2016 sequel Now You See Me 2. Returning cast members include Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson.

As of 9:15 a.m. on the same day, the film’s reservation rate stood at 25.5% (over 82,000 presold tickets), the second highest after Wicked: For Good at 26.2%. Considering Wicked: For Good opens on the 19th, Now You See Me 3 is expected to attract the largest audience this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Japanese animated film Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc drew more than 21,000 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative admissions to about 3,041,000. This makes it the sixth most-watched film released in Korea this year and the fifth highest-grossing Japanese animated film ever released in the country.

With a reservation rate of 14.1% (over 45,000 presold tickets), Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc is expected to continue its strong box office performance.
