SEOUL, Oct. 29 (Yonhap) — Fall has come to the southern islands.

The Geoje Island Flower Festival, a fall festival representing Geoje city in Gyeongsangnam province has opened on Saturday

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the flower world is opening for the first time in three years after the 2019 festival.

The flower festival, which will be held until November 6, takes place at the Agricultural Development Center in Seojeong city.

The entire 110,000 square meters of the Center along the beach is where fall flowers are exhibited.

The Agricultural Development Center, centered on Jungle Dome, a domed greenhouse with the highest height (30 m) and the largest area (4,468 m2) in Korea, is a place where plants related facilities such as greenhouses, insect halls, camellia garden, and flower tunnels are located.

In addition, Geoje City changed the center into a flower garden with a variety of flowers.

City holds the festival until 8 p.m. on weekends.

There is no entrance fee, but Jungle Dome is charged.

Geoje City began the Flower Festival in 2006.
