CHANGNYEONG, Oct. 26 (Yonhap) -- The Hwawangsan mountain in Changnyeong County, South Gyeongsang Province, fluctuates with a wave of silver grass. Near the summit of the mountain, 757 meters above sea level, there is a field of silver grass over 18 hectares.

The county has started a silver grass restoration project in 2019. Every year, acacia, raspberry trees, and vine plants are removed to transplant silver grass.

"In efforts to restore silver grass, the growth and development of this year's silver grass is going well," Han Jung-woo, governor of Changnyeong County said. "I hope visitors will have time to heal their tired mind and bodies from COVID-19 while looking at the silver grass.
