SEOUL, June 25 (Yonhap) -- Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province will hold the 4th Jangsu Cool Valley Festival from July 17-19 at Banghwadong Recreational Forest in Beonam-myeon, county officials said Thursday.

 

The festival, themed "A Valley Embraced by Nature, A Day Filled with Happiness," will offer a variety of performances and hands-on activities at the scenic Banghwadong Valley.

 

A water play area equipped with large pools and slides will be installed at the venue, while visitors can take part in programs such as barehanded trout catching and surprise events.

 

The festival will also feature "Cool Valley Valley Night," combining live performances and water activities, along with a range of cultural events, including concerts by popular singers.

 

A trail race through the Banghwadong Recreational Forest area will also be held during the festival.

 

"The Cool Valley Festival is our region's signature summer valley festival, bringing together water activities, performances and hands-on experiences," Jangsu County Mayor Choi Hoon-sik said. "We will do our best to help visitors create special summer memories."
