SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) – Son-sational Son Heung-min (29), who had renewed contract with Tottenham (England) until 2025 and managed to be back in a better condition, flew across the grass shooting goals on 2 consecutive preseason matches.

Son played as a forward striker for the preseason match against MK Dons (EFL League 1) until his exchange on the second half 32’ in the MK Stadium on the 29th (Korea time). During his 77 minutes, the ace achieved 1 goal and 1 assist.

Tottenham savored its winnings for twice in a row during the preseason by 3-1 thanks to Son’s goal-shot and assist. Also, the team made an undefeated record for 3 consecutive preseason matches (2 wins, 1 tie)

Son is especially noteworthy for having made a goal and 2 assists during a preseason match against Colchester United (EFL League 2) though he only took part for the first half of the game. After playing his part, Son was exchanged into a 17-year-old attacker Dane Scarlet after 32 minutes of the second half hugged coach Nuno Espirito Santo with a smile before going back to bench.

Intercepting the ball from the opposite defender, Moura shot a winning ball on 36’, then Tottenham allowed MK Don’s John Freeman a score but won the match by 3-1.

After the game, through Spur TV, Son shared his feelings about the renewal saying, "(Like) I said already before, you know, it really is an honor to play in this kind of big club and I just wanted to continue (playing as Tottenham).”

Also, the winner showed his respect for the fans promising that, “we will work hard as possible to make you proud and happy.”

Son added, “I really enjoyed it today”, and “I am always enjoying playing with amazing players like Dele, Stevie (a diminutive for Steven), Lucas (and) whoever plays…” and said that the team has been “working really hard for the preseason.”
