SEOUL, June 5 (Yonhap) -- Physiogel, the dermatological beauty brand of LG Household & Health Care, has launched the "Aqua For Men Oil-Cut Sun Stick," a new sunscreen product designed to keep men's skin hydrated and shine-free during the hot summer season.
The new product was developed for men who tend to avoid sunscreen because of its heavy or greasy feel.
Taking into account that men's skin generally produces more sebum than women's, the sun stick contains spherical powder particles with a large surface area that effectively absorb excess oil and help maintain a matte finish similar to that achieved with oil-control paper. The stick-type design also offers portability and convenience for users engaged in outdoor activities.
The Aqua For Men Oil-Cut Sun Stick combines UV protection and hydration in a single product, eliminating the need for multiple skincare steps. It provides SPF 50+ and PA++++ sun protection and offers triple functional benefits, including UV protection, brightening care and wrinkle improvement.
The product contains seven types of hyaluronic acid to help replenish skin moisture. Its butter-like texture glides smoothly onto the skin while leaving a fresh, non-sticky finish.
The sun stick was first introduced through Olive Young's online store on May 22 and will become available at Olive Young's offline stores starting June 29.
As part of a special promotion, customers who purchase the product will receive a 30-milliliter bottle of "Aqua For Men All-in-One Hydrating Gel Lotion," allowing them to experience both Physiogel's sun-care and hydration solutions.
A Physiogel official said the new sun stick is suitable for frequent application during outdoor summer activities such as swimming and sports.
"The product helps maintain skin that is both moisturized and matte during the summer season, when perspiration and sebum production tend to increase," the official said.
