'Avatar 2' to attract audiences ton first weekend of premiere

SEOUL December 16 (Yonhap) -- Global block buster movie “Avatar: The Way of Water” will be attracting the audience for the first time after it premiered on December 14.

According to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council on Friday, “Avatar: The Way of Water” attracted over 359 thousand audiences on the initial day of its premiere and on the second day it attracted over 291 thousand audiences, topping the South Korean box office with over 650 thousand audiences accounted for.

Reservation rate of the movie exceeded 86 percent which is equal to 1.12 million audiences.
