SEOUL, May 26 (Yonhap) -- The Seoul metropolitan government said Tuesday that a second collaboration product between the city's official mascot Haechi and skincare brand Mediheal will be released Thursday.

According to the city government, the first collaboration products launched in December last year sold quickly at locations popular with foreign tourists, including CJ Olive Young stores in Myeongdong and Hongdae as well as airport duty-free shops.

The second collaboration is a limited-edition version of Mediheal's "Madecassoside Blemish Toner Pad," redesigned with Haechi-themed packaging.

The product previously ranked No. 1 in the toner pad category for two consecutive years at the Olive Young Awards.

The 100-pad package will also include Haechi character stickers tailored to consumer preferences, the city said.

The product will go on sale starting Thursday through both online and offline channels, including the Seoul My Soul Shop, the design store at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Mediheal's Naver Smart Store and airport duty-free shops.

Beginning in July, it will also become available at Olive Young stores nationwide.

Min Soo-hong, Seoul's public relations planning officer, said the second collaboration between Haechi, a cultural symbol representing Seoul, and Mediheal is expected to help expand the global fandom for both K-beauty and Seoul as a "beauty city."

He added that the city plans to continue expanding the Haechi brand and promoting Seoul's appeal through collaborations across various industries, including fashion, lifestyle and food and beverage sectors.
