SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Yonhap) -- “I hoped NJ was not a disliked character. I tried to express her in a cool and pleasant way.”
Actress Roh Jeong-eui, the top idol NJ, who has a crush on Choi Ung (Choi Woo-shik) on SBS TV Monday-Tuesday drama “Our Beloved Summer,” shared her thoughts about ending the series.
In a recent interview with Yonhap News Agency, Roh expressed, “This is the first time that I’ve ever felt so much love. The show is very valuable to me.”
In the series that depicts the love story of the 20s, Roh’s character NJ can be seen as unrealistic. However, the actress naturally blended NJ into the drama and won SBS’ Best New Actress Award.
Roh explained regarding her role, “I liked NJ because she showed how the pain and the loneliness of a realistic and an unrealistic person were the same at the end.”
“As I’ve experienced a one-sided crush, I could relate to the emotions of dating someone and breaking up with that person alone. If I were NJ, I wouldn’t have shared my feelings because I could see Ung likes Yeon-su,” said Roh.
