SEOUL, Sept. 30 (Yonhap) -- Musinsa Beauty said Wednesday it will establish a dedicated "Dermacosmetics" category on its mobile app starting next month as part of efforts to strengthen its skin care business.
Dermacosmetics refers to cosmetics that emphasize functionality and efficacy tailored to specific skin concerns.
Musinsa Beauty plans to offer products from major Korean brands, including Aestura and Cell Fusion C, as well as new brands based on pharmaceutical and biotechnology technologies, such as Rejuexcel.
The company also plans to step up efforts to discover and nurture new brands with high growth potential.
Musinsa Beauty recently opened a "Pharmacy Beauty" section at its newly opened Musinsa Beauty Hongdae store, in addition to a dedicated skin care zone. The section, developed in partnership with Onnuri Pharmacy, features pharmacy cosmetics and high-performance skin care products.
"We will expand our product lineup by securing a broad range of brands, from global dermacosmetics brands to emerging Korean brands," a Musinsa official said.
