SEOUL, Apr. 12 (Yonhap) -- Sinan county, South Jeolla province announced on the 12th that it had created a "Jido Mudflat Provincial Park Trail."

The Mudflat Provincial Park, located in front of Jido-eup, is an ecological resource in Sinan, full of history and natural cultural heritages of the ancestors as much as it has been a vital place in the lives of the local residents and fishermen over the past years.

With the length of 950m in total, 443m is above the sea connecting the main island of Jido-eup and the inhabited Turtle Island while the rest, 507m is inside the island of the Turtle Island.

Along with the trail, two large fish crab structures, which are also the symbol of the Sinan Mudflat were installed.

Additionally, sea swings for people to take a photo, convenience facilities for healing the weary body and mind in the Turtle Island, and landscape lighting (firefly lights and more) for the nighttime attractions were installed.

"Through the completion of the Jido Mudflat Provincial Park Trail, we are hoping that it would motivate more people to visit and vitalize the local economy by providing various tourist attractions and natural healing spaces in connection with the Northern region of Sinan" said an official from the county.
