SEOUL, April 18 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actors Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byung-chul, and Kim Hyang-gi will co-star in Netflix' new action comedy series 'Cashero.'
'Cashero' tells the story of Kang Sang-woong, an ordinary civil servant who gains superpowers that grow stronger based on the money he holds, using his salary to save the world—a down-to-earth superhero story based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name.
Lee Jun-ho, known for his roles in dramas like 'The Red Sleeve' (2021) and 'King the Land' (2023), takes on the role of protagonist Kang Sang-woong. He will portray a character who, despite having superpowers that activate based on the amount of cash he holds, faces the agony of losing money every time he uses his abilities, displaying a humane and charming personality.
Kim Hye-jun plays Kang Sang-woong's longtime lover, Kim Min-sook, known for her exceptional sense and talent with numbers.
Kim Byung-chul portrays a lawyer with superpowers that activate when he drinks alcohol. He is a character who proposes to Kang Sang-woong to join forces against a mysterious organization, the 'Culprits Association,' which hunts down superhumans.
Kim Hyang-gi takes on the role of Bang Eun-mi, a superhuman who can use telekinesis based on the calories she consumes.
The series is directed by Lee Chang-min, known for 'Agency,' and written by Lee Je-in and Jeon Chan-ho, from the drama 'Sisyphus: The Myth.'
