SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Yonhap) -- CJ Olive Young said Thursday it will operate the third edition of its "K-Super Rookie with Young" program in partnership with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to support the growth of promising small and midsized brands.

Launched in 2024, the program has expanded to 30 participating companies this year from 20 in its inaugural year.

The third edition will feature companies selected through the ministry's "K-Export Strategic Product Development Program."

Starting Thursday, the participating brands will showcase their products for six weeks at "Olive Young New Arrivals" displays at 23 major stores nationwide, including stores in Gwanak and Seomyeon, to test their marketability in offline retail.

Olive Young plans to select the top 10 brands based on customer response, sales and growth potential and provide them with intensive support.

From Nov. 16 through the end of the year, the 10 selected brands will receive support to expand their overseas sales channels, including through Olive Young's domestic online store and global online mall.

The company will also offer online promotional events, live commerce and promotional content production, as well as customized consulting based on actual sales data after the program ends.

"Through this program, we aim to help promising new brands build a foundation for growth and expand their presence in the market," an Olive Young official said. "We will support small brands in developing the self-sustaining capabilities needed to compete on the global stage and, ultimately, contribute to creating a healthy virtuous cycle throughout the K-beauty ecosystem."
