SEOUL April 21 (Yonhap) -- The Busan Tourism Organization announced on Friday that it will host "2023 Busan Video Content Production Support Project Contest" with the Busan Film Commission.

The two organizations will provide production costs by selecting five domestic and foreign films, dramas, and entertainment programs scheduled to be filmed within Busan this year.

The amount of support for the production costs varies however it will go up to 100 million won for each movies and dramas, and for video contents such as variety shows the fund will vary up to 50 million won.

The process of selecting 5 of the contents will go through written evaluation process followed by presentation evaluation.

The Busan Tourism Organization addressed, "Exposure of Busan in various movies and dramas can increase external awareness of the city itself," adding, "If works planned on being distributed through global OTT services are to get selected, Busan will be widely promoted."
